OVERVIEW

People & Culture aims to provide an intuitive and effective employee engagement software that enhances employee satisfaction, productivity, and overall engagement within organizations.

PROCESS

In this case study, I conducted research on designing an integrated Employee Engagement software MVP with HRIS for People & Culture. I performed desk research, interviews, and competitor analysis to gather ideas and information. Then, I developed user stories, user flows, and information architecture to create the desired design.

DESIGN CONSIDERATION

Effect of Employee Engagement on Organization

Employee engagement has become an interesting issue in discussions about organizational behavior in recent years. This attraction arises because employee engagement affects overall company performance and is the key to organizational success and profitability. (Ott, 2007).

A Record-high 23% Of Employees Globally Are Actively Engaged

According to Gallup's State of the Global Workplace 2023 report, 23% of employees are engaged at work, the highest figure since 2009. However, there is still room for improvement as this means less than 1 in 4 workers are engaged. Another organization, Kincentric, reports a global engagement rate of 62% in Q1 2022, compared to 68% in 2021. These findings highlight the importance of increasing employee engagement in the workplace and the potential for further improvement. (gallup.com-2022)

The Impact of Employee Engagement, Recognition, and Team Collaboration on Workplace Productivity and Employee Retention

Employee engagement has a significant impact on productivity and employee retention.
Recognition and appreciation of employees are crucial in creating a positive work environment.
Strong team collaboration contributes to increased productivity.
Based on the findings of this study, data indicates that employee engagement, employee recognition, and team collaboration play vital roles in creating a productive work environment and retaining employees. The Effect of morale on employee engagement

Engagement among employees will appear when employees have high work enthusiasm. This is in accordance with Bowles & Cooper (2009) who said engagement is the result of high work enthusiasm. Furthermore, it is reported that when environmental conditions are perceived positively both physically and psychosocially, employees will experience a sense of well-being that inspires them to produce more and better work. When morale is at a high level, it will trigger the employee behaviors described above (advocacy, going the extra mile, helping others, commitment, etc.).

Based on the brief, the dashboard overview presents a concise summary of key information, aiming to provide users with a quick and clear understanding of the current situation, performance, and latest developments.
